Milosevic revisited: Is it possible that NATO fought on the wrong side of a local conflict and now NATO members are paying for it? Absolutely definitely YES.
Continent size headaches
Pan-European headaches
If we look at life and accomplishments of Adolf Hitler, we must take into account that the Autobahn network was “no small potatoes” at that time in Germany with such massive unemployment.
Of course that none of us is foolish enough to ignore the atrocities of the Nazis on account of some well paved highways. Those two issues can never be equated.
There is a much closer parallel in today’s Europe: President Milosevic of Serbia (FRY) was the first European leader to correctly diagnose the dangers of Islam’s militancy and attempt to curtail the unhindered spread that was threatening other faiths and other people (AKA infidels – in the language of Islam).
That’s how history becomes an interesting subject. We get to follow some shortsighted corrupt Clinton/All-not-so-bright/Blair and in return we get the Islamists encouraged to plant seeds of similar expansions elsewhere in Europe.
Had the leadership of Western world been more astute, observant, vigilant and sensitive, we would have seen much less in this present day proliferation of EVIL.
But history has no sympathy for the dimwitted, as the very same “dimwitted” remain forever married to history by virtue of repeating the mistakes that were not learned before. So the cycle continues.
In closing, Milosevic’s assessment of Islamic expansion was absolutely accurate and first of its kind on European soil. By sacrificing Serbs as a Christian nation (probably to appease the oil nations of the Middle East) the West has shot itself in the proverbial foot. What we see now is just a consequence of non-existent vigilance and self-centered interests based on oil resources. Who will volunteer the next mistake along these lines?
My guess is that Spain, U.K. or Germany are very likely targets for similar pyrotechnics in the nearest future. Let’s see if their leadership gets to react now – that they see France afire.
As strange as it may seem less than six months ago, I predicted difficulties in Europe, exactly here in Baltimore Independent media center link at:
