(d) The bombers left personal possessions, including documents, at the vicinity of the crime.
(e) A fifth person has been arrested in North Yorkshire.

July 12, 2005 on this day:

In 1774 an army of rebels led by the Cossack Emilian Pugachev captured the Russian city of Kazan. Pugachev had served with distinction in the Russian army. In September of 1773 he claimed to be the dead Tsar Peter III and raised the banner of rebellion. His eighty followers soon grew to 30,000 and he won several important victories against government troops, including capturing the city of Kazan. However, his political program was vague. As the rebellion became more serious, the government mobilized all of its forces and Pugachev's military following melted away. He urrendered and was taken to Moscow and executed. The rebellion served to emphasize the inequities of Russia's social order.
