WHY IS STAR OF DAVID ON EARLY AMERICAN COINAGE?
-----------------
The hexagram (Seal of Solomon) was included on early American coinage for a very specific reason, but to even speak of this in America is many times enough to bring retribution. One of the oddest things about it is what all went down when the 6 pointed star on American coinage became the 5 pointed star. Right around 1913-1915 it was, an illegal income tax was made legal just about thaty time, and even though it was to be rescinded after WWI, it never was. And many other things went down then too. Some of the early versions of this device are difficult to see as the Star of David, the true hexagram, the Seal Of Solomon, even though they are definitely 6 pointed stars. But in later issues, particularly the Morgan issues, the six pointed religious symbol is plainly visible.
