Expectations

According to the Law “Might makes Right” – the Agreement signed between (now deposed) Slobodan Milosevic and his government in today’s Macedonia about the cessation of hostilities and stop to the brutal, inhumane and needless bombardment of civilians by the Aggressor Forces (NATO) – the “peace plan was brokered under the UN Security council resolution 1244.

In all likelihood that very resolution was written down on some kind of paper or another, and we know paper does not blush but it does burn and it does tolerate alterations, forgeries, withdrawals, legal “modifications” – “minor adjustments” and all other sports of the professional juggling diplomat who will do cartwheels to prove that black is white or the other way around.

Key points of the resolutions were that Kosovo province will remain a part of Serbia proper but will be “protected” (occupied) by foreign troops in order to guarantee peace between the warring sides (Albanian terrorists and church going peaceful Eastern Orthodox Serbs, whose only crime was that some 500 years ago they failed to accept Islam as the religion of the conquering forces of Muhammedan Ottoman Empire.

Another cute point of that resolution was the vaguely set date of mid 2005 as the year when “final resolution” of Kosovo will be proposed.

The NATO aggression stopped in 1999, just as the occupation of Kosovo began. For the most part the six years under the NATO “protection” – if anybody can call it that, Albanians have used all possible methods to rid themselves of Serbs – that are now in a diminutive minority. Water supplies to Serb villages were cut, Serbs were being stoned, shot at, beaten and attacked on numerous occasions – but the NATO forces initially entered with a mandate to protect the Albanian endangered minority and true they stayed to that mandate without note that the Albanians are now a vast majority of Kosovo in addition to which Albanians have a huge laundry list of crimes committed against their Serbian neighbors. We have a pogrom of March 14, 15, 16, 17 + + + of 2004 where nobody even blinked while Serbian churches, villages and people were being killed and expelled – but NATO forces were there to protect the Albanian minority so they were honorable forces, we have hundreds of unsolved cases of rapes, murders and many petty crimes perpetrated against the Serbs - but NATO forces were mandated to protect the Albanian minority and NATO forces are honorable forces, we have a military ambush in the hills above Mitrovica that started May 17, 2005 and continue uninterrupted between the militant UCK (KLA) and NATO, but NATO is mandated to protect the Albanian minority and NATO is composed of honorable forces.

What kind of an outcome would we expect in such extremely difficult situation? Most probably just a very honorable outcome since NATO forces did an honorable job. If you prefer to see the live footage go to: www.spc.org.yu/Multimedija/Podujevo/podujevo.html
