1) "The Paradox of the Jobless Recovery" Friday, May 13th, 7:00-8:30pm
Stanley Aronowitz is a former steelworker and union organizer, now Distinguished Professor of Sociology at CUNY Graduate Center. He is author of 18 books, most recently "Just Around the Corner: the Paradox of the Jobless Recovery." Copies available.
2) Situations: A Project of the Radical Imagination
Discussion of a new journal of left theory & practice. Speakers will include Aronowitz, and other members of the Situations editorial collective--Peter Bratsis, Michael Pelleas....Situations is based at the Center for Cultural Studies CUNY Graduate Center. Copies available. Wine & cheese reception.
