Gov. Ehrlich and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) have proposed the state's first bear hunting season in 50 years, to begin this October. There are only 266 to 437 bears in the entire
state, and there is absolutely no reason to allow bear hunting.
(Recently Dick Cheney killed 81 birds in Pennsylvania in Dec
in 1 day. On Jan 5 he and Scalia went hunting in Louisiana
in violation of the Constitution. They discussed, many say,
the Halliburton case before the court.)
