Are you under the assumption that the Army, Navy, Air force, and Marines, own the equipment that they use? Is the soldier who stands guard someplace in the world, under the illusion that the gun he has, belongs to him or to the military branch he is a member of? Unless he paid taxes at sometime, he cannot claim any ownership of that gun. The gun belongs to the taxpayers.

It is easy to write-off the FBI as a monolithic, faceless entity; however, the memos recently exposed by the ACLU reveal a human face trying to deal with the line between "abuse" and "abuse." It seems clear that a Presidential Executive Order has placed our Nation on the slippery slope to a very dark world. Don't believe the mainstream media stories that Defense Secretary Rumsfeld is to blame. The blame goes all the way to the top.

Are you getting tired of this latest Holy War? Are you tired of living in a primitive civilization with spooks, spirits, gods, and ghosts? Should Christians and Muslims move to another planet?

George W. Bush apparently is wearing a medical device for "persons at risk of cardiac arrest." It is a LifeVest wearable defibrillator. He started using it sometime after his January 2002 fainting spell, which was attributed to choking. Based on photos showing him wearing the device, one can conclude the fainting was due to atrial fibrillation (AF), which his father also had. His father's AF was caused by Graves' hyperthyroidism, which Barbara Bush also has. Bush Jr likely has AF and, less likely, Graves', based on his family history and symptoms. The AF may have caused a stroke or TIA (mini-stroke), of which physicians watching the debates detected symptoms. Observers have noted psychological symptoms consistent with this and with Wernicke-Korsakoff disease.

The goal of basic income advocates is to neutralize capitalism in one of its central premises: the generalization of paid labor as the only or at least dominant path of securing existence. The future would be brighter if this were on the agenda.
