Although the exact number of US civilian employees in Iraq who have been killed or wounded since the beginning of the occupation remains largely unreported in the last few weeks we have seen an escalation in the level of violence directed at civilian workers. Despite this spike in violence, US frms like Halliburton that are working in Iraq and recruiters, like Baltimore-based Aerotek Inc., are seeking ways to fill hundreds of jobs that are now open to Americans in Iraq.
