Resistance to US occupation is growing, thriving on Iraq's instability. Former United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter argues that the Bush administration must acknowledge that an US-only solution in Iraq will not work. Political control of the occupation of Iraq must be transferred to the United Nations as soon as possible, and rapidly thereafter to the people of Iraq.
