The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a landmark gay-positive decision in Lawrence v. Texas. In a 6-3 vote, the court ruled in favor of the gay petitioners, with a five to four majority supporting them on substantive due process/privacy grounds, and Justice Sandra Day O'Connor writing a concurrence on Equal Protection grounds.
